Article Abstract
We evaluated plantar responses after 75 epileptic seizures and 21 psychogenic seizures in 53 patients undergoing video-EEG monitoring. Extensor plantar responses(EPRs)were found after 27%of epileptic seizures in 42%of patients with epilepsy.EPRs were not found after psychogenic seizures but were seen after 52%of tonic-clonic seizures.Unilateral EPRs were usually contralateral to the side of seizure onset.
